Rachel's Challenge was back in Stamford on November 3rd.  This was the 2nd year of the program called Rachel's Legacy.  This assembly gave us five challenges:

  • Look for the Best in Others
  • Treat Others the Way You Want to be Treated
  • Choose Positive Influences
  • Speak words of Kindness
  • Forgive Yourself and Others

After the assembly our Friends of Rachel club met and decided that we will again be collecting Kindness links.  Students can earn a link with each and every act of Kindness.  Links can be given out by anyone (teachers, students, faculty, parents, etc). We are holding a contest this year to see which grade can earn the most links.  Each class K – 12 and Faculty & Staff will have a different color and at the end of the year we will have a celebration to showcase all that we have accomplished this year.  The class colors are as follows:

K – Red
7th – Brown
1st – Orange
8th – Grey
2nd – Yellow
9th – Pink
3rd – Green
10th – Lavender
4th – Blue
11th – Light Blue
5th – Purple
12th – Lime Green
6th – Black
Faculty/Staff – White

Links can be found in every classroom, in the Library and in the Guidance Office.  Here is an easy link for reporting random acts of kindness also.  Links will be made for anything reported through this link.  Let's start our own Chain Reaction of Kindness!!
