Leadership Conference

Students from National Honor Society, Sources of Strength, and Student Council participated in the 34th Annual New York State Council for Leadership and Student Activities (N.Y.S.C.L.S.A.) Conference in Syracuse, N.Y. Twenty-one student leaders (nearly 10% of our school) participated in the trip. Stamford Central School had the 4th largest school delegation out of the approx. 400  participants from 30 schools across the state.

Robin Henne was recognized as an outstanding student leader for her time and dedication to Student council.  She and Mandy Zheng created our school's entry in the "No Place Like Home " Shoe Decorating Contest. Conor Glenn was appointed to the STATE board as a student representative. Mrs. Megan Eklund will be returning for another year on the state board as an advisor member.

Mrs. Megan Eklund and Conor Glenn will be helping to plan the 35th Annual N.Y.S.C.L.S.A. conference in Lake Placid, which will be held Nov 24-26, 2024. There are many students interested in attending the next conference. The advisors and students are looking into various ways to fund future leadership endeavors.
