New York State Council for Leadership and Student Activities (NYSCLSA) hosted its 36th annual conference in Niagara Falls on November 23-25, 2025. Stamford was one of 30 schools from across the state to attend. Our students made up 27 of the approximately 600 participants. Stamford received many awards at the conference including Honor School in recognition of excellence in service and leadership, the NYSCLSA Charity Award for the school with the largest per capita donation to the state charity; No Kid Hungry, Outstanding Student Leader award presented to Lillian Eklund for going above and beyond as a student leader and being a positive influence on her peers and finally, 
Advisor of the Year to Mrs. Eklund for outstanding  dedication to the field of student leadership development and support of student activities in NYS.
