The Stamford/Jefferson girls’ basketball program had an incredible showing at the annual Stamford Christmas Tournament, bringing home championships at both the JV and Varsity levels.
JV Team Victory: The JV squad kicked off the winning streak with a strong performance against Schoharie, securing a 39–24 victory. Their energy and determination were unmatched throughout the game.
Varsity Team Triumph: The Varsity team followed up with an impressive win over Laurens/Milford, finishing with a 56–42 score. The team showcased excellent defense and teamwork, setting the tone for the tournament.
Individual Honors
• Tierney Turner earned a spot on the All-Star Team after an outstanding performance, scoring 31 points and leading the offense with confidence.
• McKenna Hoyt was named Tournament MVP, dominating on both ends of the court with 65 points and an incredible 35 rebounds over the course of the tournament.
