Attention all parents/guardians of Modified Soccer Stamford student-athletes: the athlete registration portal has been extended to Wednesday, 8/20, to allow extra time for you to register your student if they signed up to play fall sports. Please don't wait until the last minute, as the online registration requires the student's valid physical to be uploaded as a pdf. Directions on how to register are below-

4. On the bottom of a login screen, in blue, it says "if you don't have an account, sign up"

6. In the bar where you can search for an organization, type in "Stamford Central School"

The August Board of Education Meeting will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. in the school cafeteria. There will be a review of the Stamford District Safety Plan held before the Board meeting at 5:30 in the cafeteria. Thank you.
Federal Funding Restored - Federal Funding received by school districts across the state to support programs such as CROP (afterschool programming) has been restored. Given this good news we want to inform you that we plan to provide the CROP after school program as usual for the 2025-2026 school year.
We appreciate your earlier patience as we navigated these unchartered waters.
Attention Stamford Families of Fall Athletes: The varsity registration portal will re-open at 12 noon today, Monday 8/4, and will close on Wednesday at midnight, for those that may have missed the registration deadline. This will be the last opportunity to register for fall sports. The registration portal for girls and boys modified soccer has been opened and will close on Friday, August 15th.

Reminder: online registration portal for varsity soccer and golf athletes closes this Friday, August 1st. Please make sure you login and register your athlete so they are eligible to participate.
Schedule Update: All fall sports schedules have been published online and are available to view. The weekly practice schedule will be sent out the week before practices begin. Due to students not having cellphone access during the school day beginning this year, parents are encouraged to download the free Google Docs app on your phone to keep the schedule on hand, as your athlete will not be able to update you during the day when plans change. Please check it frequently for updates.
First Day Varsity Practice Times and Locations:
Varsity Golf- Stamford Golf Club from 11am to 1pm on 8/18
Varsity Girls Soccer- Archibald Field from 8am to 10am on 8/18
Varsity Boys Soccer- Jefferson Central School from 4-6pm on 8/18 (all other practices that first week will be 8:30-10:30am)

On July 29, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. in the cafeteria the school district will hold a parent forum which will review the Governor’s new education law (and policy) that prohibits student use of internet-enabled devices during the instructional day.
The Governor and legislature created a new law that prohibits student use of personally owned internet-enabled devices during the school day.
The goal of the Governor is to create a distraction free environment for learning.
Internet-enabled devices prohibited in school include: any smartphone, tablet, smartwatch, text-based phone, or other device capable of connecting to the internet and enabling the user to access content on the internet.
Internet-enabled devices supplied by the school district or BOCES for educational purposes are excluded from the new law.
At Stamford Central School District students will be unable to use a personal device from 7:45 a.m. when we open the school doors until 3:00 p.m. when the school day ends.

Friday 6/27 is the last day to register for Camp H.E.R.E.! Forms can be found on the school website or picked up at SCS. Tuition can be paid in cash or checks made out to Stamford Central School.
This morning, Stamford Central School District became aware that one of our part-time athletic coaches was arrested by the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office for serious offenses. The school district is always concerned for the safety of our entire school community and will cooperate fully with law enforcement as the investigation continues. As more information becomes available, the District will provide updates if possible.
SOURCES OF STRENGTH SUMMER PROGRAM - This year Stamford Central School will begin a new Sources of Strength Summer Program made possible through the Robinson-Broadhurst Foundation grant.
