*The registration portal for Varsity soccer and Golf student athletes will be open July 24th until August 7th by 3pm. You have two weeks to complete the registration once the portal opens*
Below are the steps and information you need to register your student-athlete for participation in fall sports at Stamford:
1. Go to www.arbiter.io
2. In the top right corner, click "Login"
3. In the drop-down menu, click "For Families/Students"
4. On the bottom of a login screen, in blue, it says "if you don't have an account, sign up"
5. Create a free account, if you have an account already click, "login to existing account and register for current program"
6. In the bar where you can search for an organization, type in "Stamford Central School"
7. Choose New York as the state in the drop-down menu to the right of the search bar
8. When you search, the very first option will be Stamford Central School with our purple "S" logo
9. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the registration link provided
10. Fill out everything in its entirety. School officials will be notified when you've completed the registration
REMINDER: A physical, done by school-based health or your primary physician, is entirely separate from this online athlete registration and digital health interval portal. An updated physical is needed for your child to begin the season. If their physical has expired prior to the season's start date, they will be unable to participate until it is done. BUDGET HEARING
A budget hearing for the residents of the Stamford Central School District, qualified to vote at school district meetings will be held at Stamford Central School in the cafeteria on June 9, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., where there shall be presented the proposed school district budget for the following year.
DATE OF VOTE
The special district meeting for the revote upon the appropriation of the necessary funds to meet the estimated expenditures shall be held on June 16, 2026, at the Stamford Central School District, in room 113, between the hours of 12:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
PROPOSITION 1 - Statement of Money Required for Next School Year
A copy of the statement of the amount of money which would be required for the next school year for school purposes shall be completed seven days before the budget hearing and may be obtained by any resident of the District at Stamford Central School during the period of 14 days immediately before the annual meeting and election, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., except Saturday, Sunday or a holiday.
ABSENTEE BALLOTS
Applications for absentee and early mail ballots may be applied for at the Office of the District office. Such applications must be received by the District Clerk at least seven days before the vote set in this notice if the ballot is to be mailed to the absentee voter or the day before the vote if the ballot is to be delivered personally to the absentee voter. Absentee and early mail ballots must be received in the office of the District Clerk of the District not later than 5:00 p.m. on the day of the vote.
A list of all persons to whom absentee and early mail voters’ ballots have been issued shall be available for public inspection during regular office hours which are between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Any qualified voter may upon examination of such list, file written challenge of qualifications of voter of any person, whose name appears on such lists, stating the reasons for the challenge. Such list shall be posted in a conspicuous place during the election, and any qualified voter may challenge the acceptance of the absentee voters’ ballots or a person on such list, by making this challenge and the reasons for the challenge known to the inspectors of election before the close of the polls. Inquiries regarding military ballots may be made to the District Clerk at 607-652-7301 ext. 141, or mhitt@stamfordcs.org.

A qualified voter is one who is (1) a citizen of the United States of America, (2) eighteen years of age or older, and (3) resident within the School District for a period of thirty (30) days next preceding the annual vote and election. The School district may require all persons offering to vote at the budget vote and election to provide one form of proof of residency pursuant to Education Law §2018-c. Such form may include a driver’s license, a non-driver identification card, a utility bill, or a voter registration card. Upon offer of proof of residency, the School District may also require all persons offering to vote to provide their signature, printed name and address.
